WELCOME
Welcome to The Bath Church
on this Pentecost Sunday, 50 days after Easter when we celebrate the
gift of the Holy Spirit. It is also Mother’s Day and we welcome and
honor the mothers among us this morning. If you are a guest with us
today, we look forward to giving you a "Welcome Bag" as you leave the
sanctuary so that you can become better acquainted with us. Thank you
for coming to worship, and we hope that you will join us each Sunday.
PRELUDE: Komm, Heiliger
Geist, Herre Gott F.W. Zachau
As the Prelude
begins, let us with silence prepare our hearts for worship. Please sign the
Friendship
Booklet in your pew and pass it down the pew and back
so that you can
get acquainted with those sitting with you.
p
CALL TO WORSHIP:
Leader: Bless the Lord, O
my soul.
People: You are clothed
with honor and majesty.
Leader: You make the winds
your messengers,

COMMUNITY PRAYER:
O God, today we celebrate
the time when you sent down your Holy Spirit upon the apostles and

grant that this morning the same Holy Spirit may come among us and renew
our determination to be loyal, spirit-filled disciples of Jesus who
lives and reigns with you in the unity of the same Spirit, one God,
world without end. Amen.
In silence, we bring our
personal prayers before God.
p
SILENT PRAYER • PASSING GOD’S PEACE: "May the peace of Christ be with
you."
p
RESPONSE: Lord, We Lift Your Name on High No. 88
Lord, I lift your name on
high. Lord. I love to sing your praises.
I’m so glad you’re in my
life. I’m so glad you came to save us.
You came from heaven to

My debt to pay; from the
cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky,
Lord, I lift your name on
high.

ROYAL FAMILY KIDS’
CAMP: Today’s the day! We know there
are several of you who would like to help out with Royal Family
Kids’ Camp but can’t come for the entire week. At the same time,
there are many one-time things during camp week with which we need
help. So, out in the Narthex today you will find several sign-ups
for specific jobs during camp week. Please look them over and see if
there is something you can do to help us make camp run more
smoothly. We very much appreciate any and all help!

COME WATCH US PLAY
AND/OR JOIN THE TEAM!! Bath Church co-ed softball team will
NOT play today but you can check out our audio play by play
recap of our games at http://www.bathucc.org/special_events.htm.
THE YMI GUYS played
back to back games on Sunday evening May 4th and ended the evening
with a decisive win and a hard fought loss to the Tower of Power.
(Zydrunas) Saiben with Abe (LeBron) showed the crowd their best
teamwork so far as Branson (Gibson) fired off amazing passes.
Damon (Big Ben) demonstrated that its not all about the scoring as
Adrian (Delonte) was unstoppable from the outside. Coming off
the bench for support were (Anderson) Lamb adding to the score and
drawing his share of fouls along with Anthony Amp (Smith) returning
to the line-up with his powerful intensity and focus. The YMI
guys are off next weekend to celebrate Mother's Day and will keep
you posted on their Play-off action. Led by head coach Steve
Domchick and general manager Janie Bechtel, they finished their
regular season with a 4-2 record. THANK YOU BATH CHURCH for
supporting the team at the pancake breakfast and also through candy
bar sales. The positive comments from all of you to our Young
Men's Initiative players are greatly appreciated. Carter, Abe,
Adrian, Andy, Anthony, Damon and Branson.
