WORDS OF WELCOME Welcome members and guests to this Confirmation Sunday at The Bath Church. May we all find this service to be a time to confirm our faith in the God of grace, love and life. p HYMN OF PRAISE: Rejoice, Ye Pure in Heart No. 113 p AFFIRMATION OF FAITH: The Apostle’s Creed (updated) I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the one holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. WE ENCOURAGE PARENTS TO USE OUR NURSERIES: We have two nurseries, both located on the 2nd floor. Room 209 is for infants through 18 months and Room 207 is for toddlers 18 months to 3 years (for your child’s safety, a pager must be used while your child is in child care). Children 4 years through 1st grade may go to the Care Room after the children’s moment. It’s located on the second floor in Room 204. If at any time you need assistance, please speak to one of the ushers.
2008 CONFIRMATION CLASS We are delighted to welcome our 2008 Confirmation Class as they become full members of the church of Jesus Christ. These 15 youth have been a joy to work with and hold great promise for their role in the life of the church. They will be confirmed during both services of worship as follows below. This year, our Christian Education Board is hosting an all-church reception for our Confirmands and their families at 9:45 am. Please plan to attend to greet these young people and welcome them into the membership of Bath Church.
