Who Is Mark?

The Reverend Mark W. Frey,  Senior Pastor

Text Box: The Rev. Mark Frey came to Bath Church in 1991 as Associate Minister after graduating from Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis.  He became Senior Minister in 2001.  Born in Sandusky, Mark grew-up as a “preacher’s kid” in St. Petersburg, Florida.  His family (parents, Bob & Beth, and younger sister, Peggy) moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1966.  Mark graduated from Upper Arlington

Text Box: High School(1969) and Heidelberg College, Tiffin (1973).  At Heidelberg, he met Margee Frey and they married in 1974.  Mark and Margee have two children:  Matthew (1979) who works for Ohio Edison in Sandusky, and Meredith (1982) who is a fourth year pharmacy student at Butler University, Indianapolis.  Mark served as a lay pastor for 7 years in rural Tennessee where he helped to start a Habitat for

Text Box: Humanity project.  That lead to four years in Kinshasa, Zaire, Africa with the family as Habitat country coordinator in the mid-1980s.  Mark enjoys reading, bird watching, stamp collecting and is active in the local Sierra Club group.  He also enjoys the diversity in ministry that parish ministry provides.
