Lay Leader:

Music:
Debbie Heubeck, Director of Music Ministries; Jeff Sonoda, Organist; Anthem,

The
flowers on the altar are from Debbie Heubeck, she writes: I put the flowers
on the altar in thanksgiving to the generous people of Bath Church. Last
Sunday Bob, Steve and Laura Domchick and George Rosin rode 100 miles and
raised over $20,000 for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Our friends here at
Bath Church contributed generously to this cause. God Bless you all. Today
Bob and I celebrate with exceeding great joy the 36th birthday of
our son. Kurt HAS a birthday because of the research funded by this ride. My
heart overflows with gratitude to this congregation, these four riders, and
to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Kurt has been cancer free for 18 months.
Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow. Debbie

Movie Night: "The Power of Forgiveness" - TODAY, June 8. 6:30 p.m. –
Community Room – Free!
The
Power of Forgiveness: Over
the last 20 years the topic of forgiveness has come into its own as an
area of academic study. Researchers are now examining the psychological
and physical effects of forgiveness on individuals and within
relationships under an amazingly wide variety of conditions, ranging
from petty insults to sexual assault.
The
POWER of FORGIVENESS explores this important work and translates
it into a popular, accessible documentary film for public television.
The broadcast is only one part of a national outreach effort that
includes a community conversation campaign, this website, a national
screening tour and a companion book. The focus is on the emergent
understanding of contemporary clinical and academic research that shows
forgiveness is validated as having real potential for personal and
spiritual transformation. At the same time the film points to the
centrality of forgiveness as a virtue in many of the world’s great
religions and the struggle that people of all faiths have in honoring
it.
