Almighty God, we confess that there are times when our faith waivers,

UNISON PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING AND THE LORD’S PRAYER:
All Loving God, we give you thanks and praise for
inviting us to your table to share in this sacred meal. On this World
Communion Sunday, help us to see the great diversity of sisters and
brothers in Christ, who share this meal with us from all corners of the
globe. May we rejoice in this great array of friends and help us to be the
Body of Christ, here in this community and around the world. As we seek
unity in the Spirit of Jesus in broken bread and the shared cup, make us
one in the prayer He taught us saying:
"Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us
this day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who
sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. "

There are hot food and drinks available at the farm. You can pick your
own pumpkins, too! Some activities are free and others are $2-3.
Admission is free, parking is $2.00. Go to www.walshfarmsinc.com

AMBASSADOR TEAM OPENINGS: The Ambassador Team has about 50
members, but needs a few more "good men and women." The commitment
requires making 5 visits to fellow Bath Church members (selected by you)
to deliver pledge packets and answer simple questions about the
campaign. You will be trained (1 hour) and provided with
inspiration and all the material you need. Please contact George
Brandt, Dave Claes or the church office if you are able to assist us.
Our success depends on you!
CHURCH PHONE DIRECTORIES AVAILABLE TODAY in the narthex. Please
advise the church office of any corrections or additions 330-666-3520. |
INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND COME TO OUR COUNTRY FAIR THIS WEEK!
COUNTRY FAIR IS IN NEED OF YOUR HELP
Help is needed for the Bath Church Country Fair. If you can
help with the luncheon on Friday or Saturday, October 12 or 13,
please call Gayle Phelps at 330.239.6609. If you can help with
busing tables or clean-up for the Community Dinner on Friday evening,
October 12, or with set up for the Silent Auction on Thursday, October
11, please call either Casey Hughes (330.869.9331) or Donna Robinson
(330.929.5377).
Clothing Drive: September & October Sunday School
Mission Project: Join us in
providing gently used clothing, shoes, boots and coats for the children
and youth who stay temporarily at Harvest Home (Haven of Rest). Bins for
donations will be placed on both floors of the main Christian Education
wing. What a great incentive to go through your kid’s clothes and donate
the ones they’ve outgrown.
Team Teachers Needed: We need someone who loves little
children to teach our Angels class of three year old kids. We need team
teachers for the following classes: Shepherds, Disciples (pre-school), 2nd,
4th and 6th. If you would like to be a part of our
team of teachers, please contact Connie Claes (330.666.3520) or Gayle
Phelps (330.239.6609).
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN NEWS…
BROWNS AND BATH CHURCH BOTH WINNERS ON SEPTEMBER 30TH:
About 150 loyal Bath Church members turned out for the Kick Off of the
Capital Campaign and the Browns vs Ravens game. The afternoon in
Fellowship Hall was a roaring success on both fronts. The Browns
spanked the Ravens and the Capital Campaign was launched with over
$720,000 committed by advance gifts. Thanks to all whose advance
gifts provided us with a 33% jump start on achieving our goal of $2.2
million! The afternoon was complete with the first appearance in
13 years of our own head cheerleader, Debbie Heubeck! Thanks
go out to Shari and Bob Whitfield for planning the event with Rev. Frey,
all the cooks, planners, and clean-up crew. Everyone had a blast!
In the next few weeks you should expect to hear from an Ambassador.
Please open your doors, your minds and your hearts to this volunteer.
If you are not contacted by October 29th, please alert us so we can
rectify the oversight and get your pledge package to you. Our goal
is to have all pledges in by November 15th.
